Sogo Goichidai Memorial

Narita City

Sakura Sogo, famous for having publicly appealed to the Shogun to help his fellow citizens from oppressive taxation, was punished by death, along with his family, for his brave actions. In order to remember his efforts, his story has been reproduced. 66 life-sized dolls are used in the retelling of his brave story.
